Norsonant.no is owned by Plosiv, a Norwegian audio post and location recording company. Norsonant is run by Thomas Alf Holmemo. The sound effect collections sold here are recorded by Thomas and a few good helpers. Everyone involved are experienced sound engineers and we put a lot of effort into delivering great products.

The birds are Hugin and Munin from Norse mythology. They fly all over the world, see and hear everything and bring the information back their master, Odin. We record interesting sounds and bring them to you, so using Hugin and Munin in our logo seemed appropriate.
Buying and downloading
Yes, all our files come with embedded metadata. The files are standard BWF (broadcast wave) files with metadata added to the “Description” field. We also provide a spreadsheet with extensive metadata that you can copy to your favourite database software.
We try to give you as much information as possible to help you find exactly the sound you are looking for. The information provided will vary from product to product, so please download the metadata spreadsheet before you buy a collection.
